I'm Auditioning For SNL

Two MAJOR shows next week friends (one of them is SNL):

First on Monday, May 13th ManCamp is playing with Jon & Eddie at iO West. These shows have gotten crazy. Last month we had it LARGE with 80+ in the house! Get on board before we forget who you are.

Then on Wednesday, May 15th at 7pm I'm participating in iO's Performers Showcase.  This is a preliminary showcase for the opportunity to audition for Saturday Night Live's Loren Michaels later this summer! Big time stuff here. If you're a fan of Matt Moore and the characters Matt Moore brings to the table, this is your Graceland.

I'm going to be CRANKING out characters, impressions, and sweet Latin juices, so please come out and have some fun with me.

Admission To Hollywood

 According to this AmazonLocal (Amazon's version of Groupon) deal I got in an email, one needs to somehow gain "Admission" to visit Hollywood. What?!

For those of you from out of town I apologize for ruining your perception, but the Hollywood neighborhood is about as exclusive as a Taco Bell near a bus stop. There are no gates, no guards, or really any rules. In many ways, Hollywood is LA's version of Thunderdome where literally anything goes. You want to dress like a weirdo? Do it. You want to pee on Dorothy Gish's Walk-of-Fame star? No problem. You want to open a store that exclusively sells suits for children in the mafia? Go for it. I mean, if there really is an unspoken criteria for gaining access to Hollywood it's more of just promising yourself that you'll treat your journey's memories with indifference. "Yeah, I saw a guy dressed like Sponge Bob smoke crack in front of this pita place... and they were THE BEST pitas I've ever had." 

That said, if you visit LA you should still see Hollywood. Seeing LaLa Land for the first time is a cool experience for sure. Just don't try to prove to anyone that you're authorized to be there... you might get thrown out when they find out you have a job.

Watch Veep You Pig!

Season 2 of HBO's Veep kicks off on Sunday night (watch it dumb-dumb) and thanks to the generosity of Veep star Tim Simons, Mancamp got to go to the premier!

If you could only see the flags...

Season 2 is obviously great and the premier was spectacular, but you probably already assumed that. What you didn't assume was that guests got to make their own plush pigs!
